WASHINGTON, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The Donohoe Companies, Inc., the oldest full service real estate organization in the greater Washington, D.C. area, honored the 50 years of dedication, hard work and commitment of Albert Turner with the surprise presentation to him of the keys to a shiny white 2010 Cadillac Escalade at the firm's recent summer picnic.
James A. Donohoe, III, chairman and CEO of The Donohoe Companies, Inc., made the presentation to Turner, saying, "Thank you from all of us for your 50 years of dedication, inspiration, loyalty and friendship. We will be eternally grateful to you for all of your help."
Turner, whose first day on the job was June 6, 1960, typically works six days a week and frequently uses the seventh day to check on projects. He is the labor superintendent for Donohoe Construction Company, a division of The Donohoe Companies, Inc.
A father of nine children and grandfather of 27 children, Turner, who turned 70 years old last December, commutes daily from the Woodlawn area of Baltimore to Donohoe Construction job sites throughout the Washington, D.C. area.
According to co-workers, Turner rarely takes a vacation or even misses a day of work. He notes his proudest achievement as training all of the Donohoe family members and relatives who are involved in the firm.
He credits an uncle for instilling his work ethic in him and has no plans to retire any time soon.
