The Foundation for the Child Victims of the Family Courts Announces "SWAT Team" Litigation Support
FCVFC develops pioneering and necessary services to advance best interests of children in high-conflict custody battles
NEW YORK, May 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In its ongoing mission to defend children from a chronically broken and profit-motivated family court system, the Foundation for the Child Victims of the Family Courts (http://www.fcvfc.org/) has launched a comprehensive set of litigation support services.
"Too often, family courts take advantage of the vulnerable and underprivileged," remarks FCVFC Founder and Director Jill Jones-Soderman. "Courts see clients as revenue streams rather than individuals, and the psychological well-being of children during custody disputes is not given the attention it deserves. It's true this is a challenging area of practice, but these children need our help more than ever. Our job is to right these wrongs, and so our litigation team moves in as others move out. We are the 'SWAT Team' litigation support professionals of the FCVFC!"
The new FCVFC Litigation Support Division provides a broad spectrum of services, including the drafting of well-conceived complaints and causes of action, and the development and execution of focused litigation. The Foundation pursues rights and due process violations in which protective parents experience the most frequent abrogation of rights leading to custody loss of children.
The FCVFC is particularly focused on criminal abuses perpetrated by family court systems, including conflicts of interest, preferential referrals, ex parte communication that suppresses evidence, and coordinated violations of due process. Sadly, these and other abuses have proven to be pervasive in family courts across the nation.
Now closing in on its 10th anniversary, the FCVFC sees each new year as an opportunity to renew its efforts to steadfastly protect the nation's most vulnerable children and families. "Our guiding directive is to match the bravery and dedication of our clients and press the family court systems to become more just, more reasonable and more conscious of the needs and rights of children," concludes Jones-Soderman.
