The Gala Royale "An Evening in Monte Carlo" Benefiting Target Hunger
HOUSTON, Feb. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Prepare to set off on a glamorous and enchanting journey without leaving the city of Houston. The Gala Royale "An Evening in Monte Carlo" benefiting Target Hunger will take place on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at The Corinthian at 202 Fannin Street.
Each year, the gala raises money to support the agency in its mission of alleviating hunger and its root causes. This year, the goal is to raise over $300,000. Guests will be treated to an evening of exciting entertainment, casino gaming, and a silent and live auction. A fabulous dining experience will be provided by Jackson & Co.
Current sponsors include ExxonMobil and Hess at the Platinum Level and The Spitzer Companies at the Gold Level. The Silver Level sponsors include Atwood Oceanics, Mr. & Mrs. Steve Barrett, BMC Software, Inc., El Paso Corporation, Koonce Family Foundation, and Mr. & Mrs. Keith Kreuer. Table sponsorships are available from $5,000 to $25,000. Individual tickets may also be purchased for $250. Target Hunger:
Target Hunger was established in 1989 to meet the needs of the growing hungry population in the Houston area. The organization targets hunger directly through 12 food pantries and 16 community gardens, as well as focusing on solving the root causes of hunger by offering training courses in nutrition, self-esteem, ESL, adult literacy, and job search workshops. Each month, Target Hunger provides food and services to more than 11,000 individuals in the Houston community. Each year, Target Hunger distributes more than 5 million pounds of food.
