The Georgia Club Engineers Its Own Real Estate Recovery
With Five Homes Sold And Four New Construction Starts In April!
ATHENS, Ga., June 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- "The real estate doldrums are over!" The Georgia Club, a gated Community near the college town of Athens, Georgia, is engineering its own real estate recovery.
The turn around began this March when new owners of the property launched a membership drive that signed up 38 new members to the 27-hole semi-private golf club. At the same time, the developer broke ground on ten new homes value priced from $270,000.
The sales initiative brought five sales in April, after several years of little to no activity.
"I believe we are seeing the beginning of a real estate recovery."
The Georgia Club, attracts three types of buyers, explains Valdes, "Retirees from Atlanta, Chicago, the Northeast, Carolinas and Florida come to enjoy Georgia's lower cost of living and the Athens college town activities; University of Georgia graduates return to the area they love; and young families from Atlanta and North Georgia move to Oconee County to benefit from the state's top rated schools."
"When introducing the new product, we were very careful to lower prices without compromising existing real estate values and standards within the community." The Georgia Club sales team is accomplishing this by offering incentives such as golf carts, club memberships and designer allowances.
The Georgia Club community master plan features pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, an abundance of parks and green spaces, and classic Southern architecture with front porches and hidden, back-entry garages. Most residents are also golfers, tennis players, swimmers and fitness buffs who drive by golf cart from home to the community clubhouse, resort pool, tennis courts and health center.
The Georgia Club has launched a web site, where prospective buyers can watch testimonial videos. Members include well known sports figures in the Peach State—including UGA great, David Greene, Atlanta Braves sports commentator Chuck Dowdle, and former UGA and NFL coach Pat Hodgson. During the month of March, the site: www.TheGeorgiaClub.com drew over 8,000 visitors.
