The Great Adirondack BBQ Festival, which offers Over $10,000 in cash prizes, is open to the public.

Offering The Best grilling competition in the Adirondacks, The Great Adirondack BBQ Festival should be added to your must-attend list this summer. Judges will be traveling to the competition from all over the Northeast; each judge is a member of the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) and is certified in judging BBQ. Four categories of BBQ will be judged: pork, pork ribs, brisket, and chicken. There will be Over $10,000 in cash prizes. These tasty event days are filled with sampling opportunities, food and beverage concessions, live entertainment, and more!
21 premiere teams are competing for the chance to be invited to such prestigious events as the Jack Daniels Barbeque and American Royal Barbecue Competitions.
"There's nothing better than BBQ'ing outside, especially in the Adirondacks!" explained Mr. Cohen. "We currently have 21 teams registered to compete, but we expect that up to 30 teams will be competing overall."
The Great Adirondack BBQ Festival will feature some fantastic music-- played by Nick & Jay of the band Floodwood, as well as the Jimmy Wolf Band. In addition to the music, the festival will be offering Saranac products, an assortment of different food vendors, and there will be areas for folks to sit and enjoy their food and drinks while listening to some great music (and some dancing too!). Tickets will be available on site: $5 for adults and kids 14 and under are FREE.
