The Jewish Telegraphic Agency and MyJewishLearning Join to Create 70 Faces Media
NEW YORK, Jan. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA) and MyJewishLearning (MJL) are pleased to announce they have officially merged, creating the largest and most diverse Jewish not-for-profit media company in North America, 70 Faces Media.
Expanding and Improving Content and Services
The merger enables the two organizations to grow readership through the formation of unified and expanded audience development, business development and fundraising teams. The combined entity will expand content and services in addition to adopting new distribution strategies for engaging new readers.
Strong Support of Influential Jewish Leaders
The new organization is supported by MJL's and JTA's historic, respective lead funders: The Samuel Bronfman Foundation and the National Federation/Agency Alliance. The new organization's list of lead funders also includes the UJA-Federation of New York, Jane and Stuart Weitzman, The Wilf family, Linda and Brian Sterling, Robert H. Arnow, and The Crown Family.
Launch Event
70 Faces Media announced its formal merger with a launch event at the Knoll Showroom featuring actress Mayim Bialik.
"I found my voice at Kveller," said Mayim Bialik "I found the lens with which I see the world. For me that is a Jewish person, a female, a mom, and a person whose opinions matter because they are mine." Bialik called the merger exciting because "we can help more people find meaningful ways to focus their Jewish lens."
