The Jones Group Appoints Scott Bowman to Group President of Global Retail and International Development

NEW YORK, June 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Jones Group Inc. ("Jones," the "Company") (NYSE: JNY) today announced that it has appointed Scott Bowman to the newly created role of Group President of Global Retail and International Development, effective immediately. Mr. Bowman will oversee the international strategy and operations of retail and licensing for the Company's portfolio of fashion brands.  He will report to Richard Dickson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Branded Businesses at The Jones Group.

In his role as Group President of Global Retail and International Development, Mr. Bowman will oversee a recently established international division, as well as the existing retail and licensing divisions to integrate strategy, meet growing global demand for the Company's portfolio of brands and position Jones for continued international growth.  His appointment will also support the Company's recent international expansion driven by the acquisitions of luxury brands Kurt Geiger, Stuart Weitzman and Brian Atwood.

Mr. Bowman brings more than 30 years of extensive experience in retail and brand management to The Jones Group including his position as Chief Executive Officer of Scott Bowman Associates, a global brand advisory firm. Prior roles include President of International Business Development for Polo Ralph Lauren and Chief Executive Officer of Marc Jacobs International. Before leading the Marc Jacobs team, Mr. Bowman held principal-level positions with the world's leading travel retailer, DFS Group Ltd., an LVMH majority owned subsidiary.
