The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Palm Beach County Chapter Announces Marcus W. Corwin as 2015 Man of the Year
BOCA RATON, Fla., June 26, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Boca Raton attorney, Marcus W. Corwin, of Marcus W. Corwin, P.A., was named 2015 Man of the Year by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society ("LLS") Palm Beach County Chapter during the 4th Annual South Palm Beach Man & Woman of the Year fundraising campaign on June 5th. Corwin, who raised nearly $60,000, was part of a group of 15 candidates who collectively raised $350,000, and part of a larger group of candidates in Palm Beach County who raised in excess of 1.1 Million Dollars. All the candidates were united by one goal: to use their leadership skills to raise funds to help blood cancer patients live longer and more fulfilling lives.

"Cancer has affected my life, both personally and professionally. I was honored to work with LLS and am committed to giving back to my community, raising awareness, and to continue to assist in finding a cure for blood cancers, and in turn, hopefully find cures for all cancers."
During the 10 week fundraising period, the candidates were judged solely on their success in generating funds to advance the mission of LLS. Every dollar raised counts as one "vote." The candidates compete in honor of the Society's Boy & Girl of the Year, 17-year-old Logan and 8-year old Karina who were honored this year and are leukemia survivors.

All proceeds from Man & Woman of the Year will benefit the LLS mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. While this event raises funds for lifesaving blood cancer research, it will also help support our local patients and their families by providing critically-needed financial aid.
