The Love Lock Site Launches, Providing Alternative to Destructive Love Padlocks

YANKTON, S.D., July 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Love Lock Site has officially launched its website which aims to become an online monument to celebrate and commemorate unbreakable and everlasting love. The site provides people with a way to proclaim their everlasting love without locking a padlock to a physical structure. Instead of a physical padlock people can lock a digital love lock to the website itself attaching it to a specific date of significance to them. The digital love locks have the added advantages of being able to attach a picture, knowing that they won't rust and that once you place them on the site they are there forever.

Digital love locks are organized on the site by date and are accessed using a calendar that is always available in a left hand sidebar when accessing the site from a larger screen device; and always available in a "Select Date" menu at the bottom of the site on a device with a smaller screen. Visitors can browse different dates to see locks placed on the site by others.  There are currently 100 locks available for purchase per date starting with January 1, 1950 and going through December 31, 2015.

Purchasing and customizing a digital love lock is quite simple. To purchase a digital love lock simply visit the site, select a date and browse through the locks on that date. Once you find the spot you like, that isn't already taken, simply click on that lock and follow the instructions to purchase the lock. Digital love locks cost $20 and are yours forever. Once you've purchased your digital love lock you will be emailed instructions on customizing it. You can customize your lock with a picture, 5 inscription lines of 20 characters each and you can also select the color of lock you want.
