The Miles Foundation Now Accepting Letters of Inquiry
The Miles Foundation Launches a New Season of Grantee Relationships with a Fresh Grantee Process and Communications Platform
FORT WORTH, April 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Miles Foundation is currently accepting Letters of Inquiry ("LOIs") from potential grantee candidates across North Texas. All LOIs are due to the Foundation by May 1, 2014.
The Miles Foundation will be evaluating LOIs from organizations seeking funding in the areas of education, economic opportunity, and leadership development. The Foundation is seeking to partner with local organizations that are implementing innovative programming to drive lasting change in their communities.
The Foundation recently revised its grantee application process to formalize evaluation criteria for each stage, including 1) on-site evaluations (if applicable), 2) LOI applications, and 3) full application evaluations. Key consideration factors will include alignment of the organization's mission and program vision with The Foundation's core giving areas, dedication of leadership and team resources to the program, and projected long-term outcomes of the program.
"We are extremely excited about our grantee partnership opportunities this year," said Jay McCall, Senior Programs Officer for The Miles Foundation. "We have been focused on ways to enhance and support our grantees' experience with the Foundation. We believe we have an engagement model that can truly facilitate our grantee partners' success and transform our community."
The Miles Foundation has been intentional about elevating its communications and interactivity with its community partners. The Foundation recently published its first-ever Annual Report, launched a fresh website with new grantee stories, and enhanced its social media presence.
"We've accomplished a lot in the past year," said CEO Grant Coates. "But we know that 2014 is going to be even better. With a renewed focus and energy around our core funding profiles, and increased community engagement, we are poised to help affect change and create a long-lasting impact in our local community."
