A Fresh Take on Digital Health Offers Realistic Remedy for Technology Saturation.
HELENA, Mont., Nov. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A nonprofit leader in educational programs last week launched a major digital health initiative targeting technology burnout in the workplace. The Feathered Pipe Foundation's crowd funding initiative seeds the development and launch of practical, mindfulness-based remedies for workplace burnout by equipping the overly plugged in with skills and tools for a healthier connection to technology.
The Mindful Unplug campaign applies thousands of years of wisdom to today's digitally saturated world. The initiative by the 40-year old Foundation – best known for bringing householder yoga to the West at its inception in the mid-1970s – cultivates the conscious use of technology and devices that are ubiquitous in everyday life.
"We're about helping people step into the world of noise and technology after a mindful pause fully equipped with a practical toolkit to serve them when they're back in their busy jobs and lives," said J.V. Bennett, the Foundation's Executive Director. "That's what The Mindful Unplug campaign is all about – expanding programs and outreach to help businesses and individuals looking for solutions to technology over-saturation. Feathered Pipe has designated two weeks of its summer 2016 season and is currently taking registrations for "The Mindful Unplug Experience" at its Rocky Mountain retreat center.
