An Innovative Concept From The Sister Brand of The Paper Store Brings Experiential Retail to Clifton

CLIFTON, N.J., Oct. 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Paper Store, the beloved North East retailer, announced the reopening of its Clifton, New Jersey store under a new banner, Uncharted. The sister brand's first New Jersey location is introducing a new destination to customers, designed to make shopping a joyful escape. This shift will bring a fresh, immersive retail experience to the community, blending top brands with interactive moments that go beyond a traditional shopping trip.

The store will feature an updated look and new store elements, aligning with the two New York and four Chicago, IL area locations. Uncharted offers a curated, brand-forward selection of products across fashion, jewelry, home décor, spa and beauty, and trending toys and viral candy. The nearly 9,000 square foot Clifton store will feature a variety of in-store  experiential elements to engage shoppers, such as a Pick & Mix candy cart featuring viral Swedish BUBS candy, an engraving machine to personalize water bottles, ear piercing, and an Italian charm bracelet customization bar. Shoppers can also explore collections from popular brands such as Owala, Jellycat, Marin, Free People and a section dedicated to their exclusive fashion apparel and denim collections.

With the store transitioning to Uncharted, the core values that The Paper Store's customers have come to love will remain. Uncharted carries forward the same commitment to joyful discovery and high-quality products that have made The Paper Store a beloved destination for over 60 years. This transition enables the brand to build upon its strong legacy while also introducing an innovative concept that will delight existing customers and attract new audiences.

Uncharted will host a two-day grand opening event on October 18th and 19th at 110 Kingsland Rd in Clifton Commons, Clifton, NJ 07014 (next to Barnes & Noble). Each day, the first 100 guests (18+) will receive a mystery gift card giveaway valued up to $20 each. Plus, customers can enter to win a $200 gift card to Uncharted. The store will also be hosting embroidery events on November 8th and December 12th where customers can purchase and personalize specialty items such as bags, hats, sweatshirts, and stuffed animals directly in store.
