The Princeton Review Partners with International Association of Fire Fighters to Offer Fire Science Degree

SCRANTON, Pa., May 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Princeton Review, Inc. (NASDAQ: REVU), a leading provider of test preparation, educational support services and online career education services, has been selected by the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) to provide an A.S. Degree Program in Fire Science exclusively to its nearly 300,000 active members through Penn Foster College.

The online program is designed to meet the needs of working fire fighters seeking to advance their careers, and is expected to be available by late summer 2011.

As part of the academic experience, Penn Foster College will provide students pre-loaded mobile tablets with the required books and learning materials needed to complete their program, ensuring ready access to materials whenever and wherever is convenient.

Students who complete the 61-credit degree program are eligible to continue their education by transferring their Penn Foster credits towards the National Labor College's new Bachelor of Science Degree in Emergency Readiness and Response Management program, combining homeland security courses with labor studies. The program meets the core and non-core requirements of the U.S. Fire Administration, as well the Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) model curriculum.
