The Race for the Youthees Awards has Begun

MONTCLAIR, N.J., March 13, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- (Youth1) – Youth1 Media announces the long-anticipated open voting period has begun for The 2013 Youthee Awards, America's first-ever youth sports awards, honoring excellence in sport, community initiative, teamwork, and love of the game.

Within 24 hours of the official opening of voting on Sunday, March 10^th, fans came out in droves to Youth1.com to voice their choice among the four finalists in 15 categories, from Male & Female Athlete of the Year, Athlete of the Year by Sport, Coach of the Year and more!  For a complete list of Categories and Nominees, go to Youth1.com. 

The prestigious Youthees are an accolade presented by Youth1 Media recognizing individual and team athletic achievement and other sports-related performance during the calendar year preceding a given ceremony.

General Information

To vote, fans must register at Youth1.com and get a free membership to the Locker Room, Youth1's interactive sports community. All registered voters can vote for a nominee in each category one time per day. Open voting closes at midnight EST on March 22nd.

Winners will be announced at a live ceremony to be held at the Yogi Berra Museum in Montclair, New Jersey on Saturday, April 27th at 7pm.
