The Salvation Army Appoints New Divisional Commander

CHICAGO, June 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Salvation Army has appointed Lt. Colonels Ralph and Susan Bukiewicz as Divisional Commander and Director of Women's Ministries respectively for The Salvation Army Metropolitan Division, effective July 1. The Bukiewiczs previously served in the same capacity at The Salvation Army's Western Michigan/Northern Indiana Division. They replace Lt. Colonels David and Sherry Grindle, who retire June 30.



The Salvation Army Metropolitan Division provides assistance to people in need in Greater Chicago, Northern Illinois and Northwestern Indiana. Among the programs and services provided are feeding programs for homeless people, children, and seniors; emergency lodging for families and individuals in crisis; disaster relief; senior housing; substance abuse rehabilitation programs; youth programs; and early childhood development services.
