The Samaritan Inn Announces INN Bloom 2025 Charity Luncheon Featuring Basketball Legend Nancy Lieberman

MCKINNEY, Texas, March 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Samaritan Inn is hosting its 6^th annual INN Bloom luncheon, presented by Brandon Tomes Subaru, on April 4, 2025, at 11:30am, at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel.

The event will feature keynote speaker Nancy Lieberman, Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer, BIG3 Head Coach, 2018 Champion and Coach of the Year, and two-time Olympian silver medalist (1976). Beyond her legendary basketball career, Lieberman has been a philanthropic force and dedicated partner of The Samaritan Inn for nearly a decade, founding Nancy Lieberman Charities, which provides educational and athletic opportunities for underserved youth. She's also contributed to the Samaritan Inn through scholarships for resident children to attend her basketball camps.

Gina Miller, award-winning journalist and current Vice President of Broadcasting, Media, and Communications for FC Dallas, North Texas SC, the National Soccer Fall of Fame, and Toyota Stadium, will serve as the event's host. She leads broadcast, social, and digital media operations, along with public relations efforts for these organizations. Gina also played a key role in Dallas' successful FIFA™ World Cup 2026 bid campaign, helping bring nine World Cup matches to DFW.

The event will feature a VIP meet-and-greet with Nancy and Gina, lunch, a mimosa bar, and raffle items. Additionally, Jaxson Turner of Never 2 Young 2 Care Charity will be honored with this year's INN Bloom Youth Award, recognizing this young individual who embodies strength, leadership, and a commitment to uplifting others.

The Samaritan Inn has become one of the largest shelters for unhoused neighbors in North Texas, serving single men, women, and families, and the only shelter in Collin County to accept pets. Last year, The Samaritan Inn served over 1,600 unique individuals, including almost 450 at the shelter, 56 in the Diversion program, and over 1,100 were given meals, clothing, and essentials. Additionally, 46 individuals took residence at the Gateway Transitional Housing apartments, which offers full wraparound services.
