The San Francisco Examiner Launches Write the Wrap Front Page Headline Contest

SAN FRANCISCO, March 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thursday, March 10, The San Francisco Examiner – the highest-circulated newspaper in San Francisco and San Mateo counties – announced the launch of its Write the Wrap contest.
Giants fans will compete for the chance to have their opening day rally cry for the World Series Champions displayed on all 190,043 copies of The San Francisco Examiner on Thursday, March 31. The San Francisco Examiner wrapped the newspaper during the 2010 World Series with various rally cries to inspire the Giants to victory. Building on the success of the campaign, contest participants will have the chance to inspire the Giants to win the first series of the season against arch-rival L.A. Dodgers with their slogan.
Ten semi-finalists will be announced, based on criteria including creativity, relevance and adherence to the contest guidelines. The winning semi-finalist slogans will be showcased on the Examiner's contest page.
The contest runs from March 10-29, with submissions accepted March 10-24, and public voting held online at sfexaminer.com/writethewrap, from March 25-29. Finalists will be announced on the Examiner's contest page on March 31.
