The Silverfern Group Names Joe Haslip Head of Capital Strategies and Investor Relations

NEW YORK, March 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Silverfern Group, a leader in active global co-investment, today announced that Joe Haslip has joined Silverfern as a Managing Director and Head of Capital Strategies and Investor Relations, as Silverfern accesses the institutional funds market for the first time in 2015.

Based in New York, Joe brings over 20 years of Asset Management and Institutional Public Pension/Government experience to the Silverfern team, with both limited partner and general partner experience over his career.

Prior to Silverfern, Joe was the Managing Director for Public Plan Relations at Blue Harbour Group, before which he was the Assistant Comptroller for Pensions of New York City. In this role, Joe sat as the Comptroller's Designated Trustee Representative on four of the City's five pension boards with an aggregate $114 billion in assets. In addition, Joe was charged with working with staff and the trustee boards in developing and implementing a $7 billion investment program for smaller/minority & women investment firms across public and private markets. Joe is Chairman of The National Association of Investment Companies (NAIC).
