AMSTERDAM, Sept. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Silverfern Group today announced that it has opened its first European Merchant Banking office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and has continued the expansion of its senior investment origination team with the addition of Terence Bruyn, Paul Schroder and Kees-Jan van Uchelen as Investment Directors.

Terence, Paul and Kees-Jan (KJ) each bring over 20 years of principal investment, Mergers & Acquisitions, restructuring, recapitalization, and financing experience to the Silverfern team. They have collectively managed numerous principal investments and successful investment exits, have founded investment firms and operating companies, and have had multiple senior operating and board supervision roles in both public as well as private companies and institutions across multiple industries and geographies.

Based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Terence, Paul and KJ co-lead Silverfern's merchant banking business in Europe with responsibility for originating proprietary investment opportunities for Silverfern's investment partners, in addition to interfacing with senior CEOs, company founders and owners on The Silverfern Advisory Board.
