The Tagos Group Names New Supply Chain Leadership

HOUSTON, Jan. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Tagos Group, LLC, today announced the promotion of Randy Engalla and Stuart Smith to Vice-Presidents and Co-Leaders of its Supply Chain and Operational Excellence Group, effective January 1, 2014. Mr. Engalla's core consulting background includes strategy, process and technology design. Mr. Smith's experience lays primarily in process, execution and third party materials management background, including inventory management, field operations and logistics and technology implementation. The two will succeed Ron Rod, Tagos Executive Vice President, who has led the business unit since April 2008 and will now serve as President of Tagos' newest leading-edge cement technology joint venture.

Mr. Engalla has more than 25 years' experience in the energy, products, chemical, and technology industries. Prior to joining Tagos, he spent his career with Big 4 consulting firms providing management and IT consulting. His background includes inventory planning, execution and control, asset planning and maintenance, operations, performance management and implementation of complex technical solutions. During his tenure with Tagos, Mr. Engalla has served in a lead role on a variety of projects with many of Tagos' largest clients.

Mr. Smith has more than 20 years' experience in all aspects of supply chain management. He has effectively managed functional areas including materials management, inventory, warehouse, logistics, purchasing and strategic sourcing for mid-sized to large multi-national corporations. During his tenure with Tagos, Mr. Smith has led strategic projects with many of Tagos' largest clients. His strategic approach, utilization of technology, change management and project management skills allow him to deliver value-added solutions and provide clients with a competitive advantage through supply chain management and operational excellence.
