The University of Arizona Health Plans - University Healthcare Marketplace to Offer Affordable Health Insurance for Individuals Through the New Health Insurance Marketplace

TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The University of Arizona Health Plans (UAHP), a division of The University of Arizona Health Network, today announced it has entered into an agreement with CMS to provide health insurance coverage through Qualified Health Plans in the Health Insurance Marketplace beginning Oct.1 as The University of Arizona Health Plans – University Healthcare Marketplace (UHM).  UHM will offer Qualified Health Plans for individuals in ten counties throughout Arizona. The plans, which will be known as University Healthcare Marketplace Canyon Plans, will provide affordable access to innovative, compassionate and member-focused care.

• Annual physicals, maternity coverage, infant wellness checkups and prescription drugs
• Up to five primary care visits at no cost on some plans
• Capped out-of-pocket costs that guarantee members will always have quality, affordable coverage, even during catastrophic events

Additionally, UHM's affiliation with The University of Arizona Health Network and its world-class medical centers, physicians and professionals will provide Canyon Plan members with access to the highest quality care. Premium rates and cost sharing information on the Canyon Plans will be available beginning Oct. 1 at www.uamarketplace.com.
