LOS ANGELES, June 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Citing a complete "lapse in judgment" when it comes to how the White House is dealing with current Middle East issues, Congressional Candidate Robert Flutie said that the "Obama Administration has lost its compass and direction on Middle East politics and has abandoned sound Foreign Policy."
While meeting with constituents from the 30th District today, Flutie added that "Obama's silence is deafening and the continued deterioration of a strong U.S. policy is sending the wrong message to the world." He continued by saying, "We are, in effect, ratifying extremist ideology and have openly declared our vulnerability to terrorism by abandoning the principles that have given the U.S. stability in the Middle East."
Flutie also noted that "the United States' current commitment and participation in the United Nations has to be examined and reconsidered." Perhaps the most important point he made was by saying, "We are a member country of an organization that has directly and indirectly expressed a conflicting perspective on issues that influence U.S. security. This is highly unacceptable, and the loss of a clear U.S. position only erodes from the purpose and intent of our being in the United Nations."
