The Venue Alliance Announces Newest Members
More Venues Join Advocacy Group to Increase Clout with Agents, Promoters and Producers
HOUSTON, July 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Venue Alliance, which launched last year at the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) conference, continues to grow and is pleased to announce its newest members.
- Heartland Events Center - Grand Island, NE
- Ralston Event Center - Ralston (Omaha), NE
- The Lakeland Center Jenkins Arena - Lakeland, FL
- Germain Arena - Fort Myers, FL
- Mid-Hudson Civic Center - Poughkeepsie, NY
These new members add to The Venue Alliance's growing list of premier buildings along the East Coast, across the Midwest and into the southern US.
"It's a pleasure to welcome these new venues as we are creating a strong team of like-minded buildings working together for better programming and more events," said Michael Patrick, Managing Director of The Venue Alliance. "Our members, and so many other arenas out there, want to add more programming but have been frustrated by the lack of attention they receive from national entertainment organizations."
"The Venue Alliance is exactly what arenas like mine need," said Brian Oaks, General Manager of Prairie Capital Convention Center and Arena in Springfield, IL. "Being an independent arena can put us at a disadvantage when negotiating for shows. I have wanted for years to join together with other arenas like mine to increase our influence and create a one-stop-shop for promoters and agents but The Venue Alliance brings that and more. They act like a part of my full time staff dedicated to finding, booking, and negotiating on our behalf. I look forward to the regular calls with the other members and sharing ideas on shows."
Three Zebras Entertainment, the entertainment division of ExtremeTix, handles the programming elements for The Venue Alliance and offers members a staff of industry veterans working full time on their behalf. "Buildings in secondary and tertiary markets may not be able to bring in the biggest bands, but they can still sell a lot of tickets with the right acts," adds Ed Morrell, Managing Director of Three Zebras Entertainment. "As The Venue Alliance continues to grow, so does our clout with agents, artists, promoters and producers who are already calling us to get in front of our membership."
