The Veterans Accountable Care Organization and Veterans Accountable Care Group Launch New, Veteran-Centric Health Care Delivery Entities
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. and BALTIMORE, July 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- With a focus toward quality-driven and accessible health care for the nation's 23 million Veterans, the Veterans Accountable Care Organization (VACO) and the Veterans Accountable Care Group (VACG) today launch a new, Veteran-centric health care plan.
Comprised of an exceptional network of community-based providers and support services designed for Veterans, VACO and VACG are accredited by the National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA), a nationally-recognized accreditation organization dedicated to improving health care quality. Specifically, these NCQA accreditations include:
- Provider Network accreditation that ensures documented administrative policies, procedures and best practices in place to contract and manage diverse providers as a delivery network serving a designated population,
- Credentialing and Re-Credentialing that validates procedures for screening and monitoring providers to ensure they meet network quality standards, and
- Case Management and Disease Management, both which spotlight rigorous medical management procedures for individuals with acute or chronic conditions who could benefit from higher levels of clinical support and care coordination.
