NEW YORK, June 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Week Publications, Inc. today announced several key promotions in The Week and Mental Floss sales and marketing departments. The announcement was made by John Lagana, Chairman and acting CEO of The Week Publications.

"Our success in building both of these brands has led the company to decide to create separate, dedicated sales teams for each brand in order to take advantage of the many opportunities in the marketplace. Molly Bechert, has been promoted to Vice President, Publisher for Mental Floss. In her new role, she will work closely with the editorial and business development teams on building creative campaigns to best serve the brand's clients. Molly has been with the company most recently for two years, having previously led the Chicago sales team from 2007-2011.
John Guehl has been promoted to Vice President, Publisher for The Week. In his new role, he will oversee the sales activities for The Week magazine and TheWeek.com. John rejoined the company two years ago, previously serving on the sales team in the New York office from 2008-2011 and was most recently East Coast Advertising Director.
Tara Mitchell, Vice President, Marketing will continue to lead the marketing department and oversee its expansion for both The Week and Mental Floss. In her expanded role, she will manage the advertising operations department as well as oversee marketing strategy, brand-related efforts, promotions and partnerships.
