WASHINGTON, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Thursday, September 16, Stephen S. Zimmermann, Director of Operations for the World Bank Integrity Vice-Presidency, will speak on anticorruption efforts in international development, emphasizing initiatives and results over the past two years.
This will take place at IPOA's 2010 Legal Conference, "FCPA: National Security, Corruption and Contingency Contracting," where IPOA members, government representatives, and industry professionals will explore the challenges for companies working in contingency operations stemming from the 1977 Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
The one-day conference is taking place Thursday, September 16 at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center in downtown, Washington, DC. The conference will include an introduction to, and overview of, the FCPA for companies and officials working in conflict, post-conflict and disaster-relief environments. It will also address recent trends in the enforcement of the FCPA, and will include case studies highlighting the essential resources necessary to handle a possible violation.
