ATLANTA, Nov. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The World Children's Center is a 720-acre, three-phase, master-planned sustainable community 40 minutes outside Atlanta, Georgia, currently being developed for homeless, orphaned and/or neglected children. Today, the organization is pleased to announce the appointment of non-profit executive leader, John D. Clause, as its Executive Director. Clause will help lead the project's efforts to provide a safe and stable environment for 800+ at-risk children through housing, access to education and quality health care, while providing the tools necessary to support their self-management and self-sufficiency for leading meaningful and productive lives.
The Center, once complete, will consist of 100 homes with surrogate house parents and 8 children in each home. John also served as the Senior Vice President of Prison Fellowship International, a 40-year-old organization founded by Chuck Colson, based in Washington DC.
Clause is a non-profit entrepreneur who works closely with donor groups to connect the resources of time, talent and treasure with global programs, and works to raise awareness of pressing global issues with a focus on at-risk children.
His field of expertise is in leading and managing start-up and long-term strategic businesses and fund-raising initiatives as a visionary, organizer, implementer and collaborative-minded leader.
John is an entrepreneurial, innovative and passionate national and global nonprofit leader. He has traveled extensively across the globe through his work and has an enriched perspective on global issues and partnership solutions that address meeting the needs of the poor and oppressed.
