- iOS update delivers major enhancements to personalized "My Score" feature
TORONTO, Dec. 16, 2013 /CNW/ - theScore, Inc. (TSX Venture: SCR) ("theScore") today gave sports fans a new integrated, hyper-personalized way to get mobile-first scores, stats and news for all their favorite teams and fantasy players through its latest iOS app update.
theScore's customizable "My Score" section now includes "Feed" - a feature allowing users to create their own continuously updated stream of sports content, combining all the information on the leagues, teams and players the user is following in one place.
theScore's deep player data coverage also makes Feed the perfect fantasy sports tracking tool, giving fans live updates on how their favorite players are performing in real-time.
"Like every feature we develop, Feed is designed to offer sports fans a completely mobile-first experience," said Jonathan Savage, theScore's SVP Product. "Feed builds on My Score's personalization features, putting you completely in control of your experience, placing your teams, players and leagues front and center, with content perfectly delivered for mobile consumption."
News updates will continue to be delivered using theScore's unique mobile-first approach, where up-to-the-minute content is presented in "snackable bites" that break down the biggest stories into the most important elements - stacking each update on top of the last.
The iOS update also includes improvements to the Top News section, making it easier to filter news by league. Similar features will arrive on theScore for Android in the New Year.
theScore is available on iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone devices and its mobile platforms are used by about five million users a month.
