Third Annual Taste Of Brews Long Beach To Feature Dozens Of Craft Breweries, Classic Rock And Gourment Food Trucks On Sat, Aug 24

LONG BEACH, Calif., July 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Taste of Brews is marking its triumphant return to Lighthouse Park in Long Beach on Saturday, August 24, 2013 for its third annual summer festival showcasing beers from dozens of local, regional and national craft breweries.  Headlined by acclaimed Journey tribute band "The Journey Experience" and 80s cover band "The Pac Men" on the Purple Revolver stage, the event infuses dozens of elite microbreweries and SoCal's premier mobile restaurants with an amazing ocean-front venue, all benefitting the Long Beach Marine Institute.  Detailed information is available at www.tasteofbrews.com.

Taste of Brews features many popular craft beers like Stone, Golden Road, Karl Strauss, Sam Adams and Firestone.  Area breweries participating include Rock Bottom, Beachwood, Belmont, El Segundo, San Pedro and Strand Brewing Co.  The booming growth of craft beer in the Inland Empire (and amazing success of the recent Taste of Brews IE event) is luring several breweries from East of Los Angeles like Hangar 24, Wiens, Inland Empire, Craft Brewing and Packinghouse.  Gourmet food trucks include Viking Truck, Urban Pie and Dogzilla.

Taste of Brews pricing currently starts at $32.50 for a 3-hour session (1pm to 4pm) and $42.50 for a 4-hour session (noon to 4pm) which include beer "tastes", drinking water and the Purple Revolver concert.  A limited number of general admission tickets will be on-sale in mid-July and include access to the park, concert and food trucks, and a Beer and Wine garden where attendees may purchase full glasses of beer or wine for an additional fee.  All attendees must be 21 or older.
