NEW YORK, Feb. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC US announced today that Thomas Henry, 49, has joined the firm to lead the Global Incentives practice in the US. He is based in the New York office.

Mr. Henry, a tax partner who has spent more than 25 years in public accounting, most recently at KPMG, has extensive experience in all areas of state and local taxation. He is best known for his work in the credits and incentives space, both domestically and worldwide. His experience in maximizing global incentives for large multinational corporations in the United States, Europe, Asia and Africa will enable both US-based and non-US-based multinational companies to benefit from his counsel when entering into economic incentives negotiations.
Under Mr. Henry's leadership, PwC will provide a full range of global incentives services to assist companies when establishing, relocating or expanding operational facilities around the world, including inbound and outbound investments from the US.
PwC's Global Incentives Network utilizes local client service teams across the globe to deliver these services. In his new role, Mr. Henry will use the strength of this worldwide network to help companies identify and maximize potential incentives available to them when expanding into new or emerging markets.
Mr. Henry received his BS in Accounting from Villanova University, a JD from Pace University School of Law, and an LLM in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law. He is a member of the New York State and Connecticut Bar Associations, and is an active member of the State and Local Tax Section of each. He is a member of the Advisory Committee of the New York University Institute on State and Local Taxation, is a frequent speaker at the State Tax Institute and has published numerous articles on State and Local taxation.
