Thomas Palmer Named Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales
HARRISBURG, Pa., Dec. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Thomas Palmer of Cumming, Ga., has been named senior vice president of sales for national dental insurer United Concordia. In this position, Palmer will oversee the company's national sales efforts.

"Since joining our southern region team in 2005, Tom has helped us realize more than $100 million in additional revenue and a nearly 100 percent increase in the number of subscribers in that part of the country. In his new role, Palmer will be responsible for commercial sales and service, the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP), national accounts and sales operations, including the Requests for Proposals (RFPs) Unit.
Most recently, Tom served as division vice president of sales for United Concordia's southern region. Since 2003, Palmer has held progressive leadership roles in United Concordia's sales department.
Prior to joining United Concordia, Palmer gained account executive-level employee benefit experience with Universal Underwriters Group and broker and business management experience with Aetna/US Healthcare.

Palmer will complete his Executive Master's of Business Administration from University of Georgia in May 2012 and has a bachelor's degree in business administration from LaSalle University. He and his family will relocate to Harrisburg in 2012.
