Thomas Tucker Named CEO of Akibia

WESTBOROUGH, Mass., Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Akibia, the leading independent provider of data center, network and security solutions, announced that Thomas Tucker, previously President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. Mr. Tucker will continue to lead Akibia as the company delivers services that reduce costs, increase efficiencies and manage risk in IT infrastructure for global organizations. Thomas Willson, the company's founder and former CEO, announced the change at the company's recent quarterly worldwide conference call. Mr. Willson will assume the role of Executive Chairman of the Board.

In his new role as President and CEO, Mr. Tucker is charged with leading the company as it grows to meet expanding market need and to maintain its leadership position. Akibia is experiencing increased demand for its offerings, from Data Center Support Services that help enterprise organizations maximize the value of their existing technology investments, to its Network & Security Solutions which help enterprises design, implement, manage and support their complex network and security infrastructure.  Akibia has also gained significant traction for its innovative suite of Compliance Services, including its AssuredCompliance managed service. These services help organizations meet constantly evolving and difficult to understand regulatory requirements.

In transitioning to CEO, Mr. Tucker is further expanding his leadership role.
