As executive vice president of engineering and products, Chakravarty's more than 25 years of experience will catapult the company's global research team, and deliver an enhanced product methodology and vision that will enable ThreatTrack Security to better leverage its more than 20 years of excellence and vision. His experience with global staffing and leading dual-shore research and development programs will be a boon to ThreatTrack Security, which operates research labs in Clearwater, Fla., and in the Philippines.
Prior to joining ThreatTrack Security, Chakravarty worked at Novell and NetIQ, where he served in the positions of vice president of engineering and product management, and general manager of cloud security services. Prior to Novell, he was the senior vice president of engineering at e-Security until its acquisition by Novell. Earlier, he co-founded Artesia Technologies (acquired by OpenText) where he served as chief technology officer. Prior to Artesia, Chakravarty held engineering positions at IBM, Thomson and Bell Labs.
In addition to his extensive professional experience, Chakravarty is the author of two bestselling books on computer architecture and operating systems and holds 11 patents.
