Three Leaders Of Oregon Innovation Take The Helm At Scott Paul Wines
Cameron Healy, Shawn Bavaresco, and Ian Burch Breathe Bold New Life Into Scott Paul Wines and Oregon Wine Country
PORTLAND, Ore., June 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Three leaders of Oregon industry and innovation, Cameron Healy, Shawn Bavaresco, and winemaker Ian Burch, have come together to breathe bold, new life into prominent Oregon brand, Scott Paul Wines. With each member of this dream team contributing a wealth of knowledge and expertise in both business and wine, the new direction is progressive and trailblazing, beautifully reflecting the pioneering spirit of Oregon.
Cameron Healy, a fifth-generation Oregonian, founded Kettle Foods, Inc., best known for Kettle Chips, and co-founded Kona Brewing Co., which currently has the highest growth rate in the craft brew category. Healy became a partner in Scott Paul Wines in 2005, and in 2014 purchased the remaining shares. In 2015, he brought Shawn Bavaresco on as a partner to help revitalize the brand. Bavaresco has a proven track record of developing industry-defining marketing communications for entrepreneurial and international icon brands, serving as U.S. Advertising Director for Nike and Levi's, as well as co-founding Pacific Rim Winery and establishing VinMotion Wine Company, a 200,000+ case wine company known for progressive, consumer-friendly brands. Winemaker Ian Burch worked at high-profile, luxury winery, Evening Land Vineyards where he played an influential role on the team that was awarded Wine Spectator's highest scores in the history of Oregon winemaking for Pinot Noir (98 Points) and Chardonnay (97 Points). Burch will continue his winemaking journey dedicated to fulfilling the groundbreaking vision for the Scott Paul and Wildstock brands.
The team promises to honor the artisan nature of Scott Paul Pinot Noir and bring world class winemaking practices to the affordably priced and newly released Wildstock wines. The Scott Paul brand will live by the dictum "Pinot Perfection, Not Pinot Pretension," producing complex Pinot Noirs crafted in a refined style that allows the true character of the meticulously tended vineyards to shine. As the name implies, the Wildstock brand will reflect the creative, independent and wild spirit of Oregon. Wildstock wines are down-to-earth varietal wines that are daring with a distinct sense of place, because everyone should be able to enjoy exceptional Oregon wines.
The new Scott Paul Wines will introduce fresh thinking and modernity to the Willamette Valley winery community, while honoring the history of the region.
