LONDON, March 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Thrifty Car Rental, part of The Hertz Global Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HTZ), continues to expand its global footprint with its launch in Thailand. Thrifty Thailand will serve value-oriented customers seeking the trust of a longstanding, global car rental brand. Thrifty is now open for business in Bangkok Downtown (Sathorn Road) and Pattaya Downtown (North Pattaya Road), and a further seven additional airport locations are planned for 2016. Thrifty's locations in Thailand are strategically placed in relevant urban areas to easily satisfy the mobility needs of local customers and international travelers alike. With access to a wide, modern offering and competitive rates, Thrifty customers planning on driving around Thailand will benefit from convenience and choice.

Michel Taride, Group President, Hertz International, said: "It is truly exciting for us to see Thrifty's expansion to Thailand.
