Thrupoint Completes Spin-Off of Software Business into CafeX Communications
New entity specializes in leading-edge customer experience management software solutions
NEW YORK, Sept. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Thrupoint, Inc., a recognized software and services leader for WebRTC innovation and mobile collaboration, today announced the spin-off of its Fusion collaboration software business into an independent company named CafeX Communications, Inc. The transaction closed on September 23rd, 2013.
This move provides focus and agility for the newly formed entity. As a software-only company, CafeX Communications specializes in delivering leading-edge customer experience management solutions that extend enterprises' existing contact center and communications systems to new channels and use cases. Examples include visual IVR (interactive voice response) solutions for smartphones, video-powered business-to-consumer (B2C) web applications, and capture of extensive mobile web user analytics in order to facilitate intelligent, consistent customer interactions across various digital channels.
This change does not affect current business operations. Existing customers and partners of the Fusion software portfolio can expect to receive uninterrupted support during this transition to CafeX Communications. Rami Musallam, founder and chief executive officer of Thrupoint, Inc., is transitioning over to CafeX Communications in the same role and is accompanied by personnel associated with the Fusion portfolio, including sales, marketing, development, and support services. The remaining Thrupoint business is led by longstanding board member Edward Hamburg and will continue to provide IT consultancy services to leading enterprises and service providers worldwide.
