Ticket.com Unveil Summer Giveaway Campaign for Free West End Theatre Tickets

An online ticket retailer in the UK has reacted to mounting criticism over the price of theatre tickets by launching a 10-week ticket giveaway campaign designed to help ease the financial pressure facing so many consumers this summer.

Ticket.com has been closely monitoring consumer sentiments regarding the cost of going to the theatre.

Basak Tamar, Managing Director at Ticket.com, said: "Based on the feedback from our customer surveys and the discussions we've had on Facebook with customers, we felt the cost of going to the theatre was a significant issue."

Very recently the likes of Felicity Kendal and Kevin Spacey have also voiced concerns that high ticket prices are having a detrimental effect on the future of theatre.

Keen to help theatre lovers, Ticket.com is offering consumers the opportunity to win back the cost of their tickets every week if purchased from now through to July 30. The campaign includes all types of tickets on all summer shows.

One Ticket.com customer will be selected every week for the next 10 weeks as part of this unique giveaway and they will be given back the total cost of their tickets regardless of how many tickets were purchased.

The campaign provides a timely boost for anybody planning to see West End shows like the iconic Les Misérables, The Lion King and Mamma Mia this summer.

Tamar added: "We're very happy to be launching our Summer Giveaway campaign.

"Summer is a time when we should be enjoying life and doing the things we love more often.  In line with this spirit, we wanted to at least help some customers to enjoy what they love for free.
