Time for Justice in Libya for all slain Americans
WASHINGTON, Sept. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- "The Families of Pan Am 103/Lockerbie sends its heartfelt condolences to the families of Ambassador Stevens and the other US diplomats killed in Libya yesterday by unknown assailants on September 11th, the 11th anniversary of the worst terrorist attack against Americans in history. We know the pain, shock, grief, and anger, having lost 270 of our loved ones in the 1988 bombing carried out by Gaddafi regime terrorists over Lockerbie Scotland, the second most deadly terrorist attack against American civilians in history," stated Paul Hudson, president of the Families' group.
"Nothing can bring them back, but as President Obama promised today, Justice Must Be Done: For all those murdered by terrorists. Accordingly, we call on the Libyan Government to not only denounce these latest senseless murders of Americans but to swiftly bring those responsible to justice and to fulfill its long promised but so far unmet commitments to the UN and the US to fully cooperate in the criminal investigations of the Pan Am 103 and UTA bombings (that killed 440 innocent civilians including 195 Americans and wife of another US ambassador) as well as numerous other terrorist killings carried out or supported by the Gaddafi regime over several decades. "
Next week, family members of Pan Am 103 victims will gather in Washington, DC to meet with members of Congress and the Obama Administration to urge concrete action for the long delayed justice for terrorist victims of the Gaddafi regime terrorism.
