#TimeForVacay: Expedia Rolls Out Big Midwinter Sale and Leap Day Savings

BELLEVUE, Wash., Feb. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- While a mild January may have tempted many Americans to believe winter would pass quietly, snowstorms and single-digit temperatures heralded February's arrival. To ease that transition, Expedia is now offering a midwinter sale that gives travelers a jump on Spring Break deal-hunting. February's #TimeForVacay sale lets travelers book stays at more than 1,500 hotels worldwide, at savings of up to 30% off.

The time to seize these savings is limited. Travelers can sort through the deals and book their next vacation by visiting www.expedia.com/TimeforVacay. All trips must be booked between now and February 29, 2016, for travel completed by May 22, 2016.

The #TimeForVacay promotion also features different coupons for travelers to leverage in February. Expedia email subscribers will have access to special promotions as well. Details on the additional promotions include:

• Expedia invites travelers to visit the site to find special coupon codes offering instant savings of $100 and $150 off packages of $1,000 and $1,500, respectively. Booking packages that feature a flight and hotel are already one of the savviest ways for travelers to save and the #TimeForVacay discount comes on top of the savings travelers earn when they book packages. For those who have not yet booked Spring Break travel, the sale offers the opportunity for last-minute savings to a variety of destinations.
• Coupon codes go live between February 23 and February 24, 2016. These special promotions are open to travelers in the U.S. and Canada, and can be booked on Expedia.com and Expedia.ca. To qualify for the codes travel needs to be completed between February 23 and May 22, 2016.

Finally, Expedia will feature a one day only promotion to commemorate the arrival of Leap Day, February 29, offering 29% off of select hotels worldwide. These savings are available only when booked through the Expedia mobile app. The app is available for download here: www.expedia.com/app.
