TinyVox Selected as Finalist for Microsoft BizSpark Accelerator at SXSW

AUSTIN, Texas, March 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- TinyVox, the free iPhone app that makes it fun and easy to tape and share audio files on social networks or email, was named a finalist in the Microsoft BizSpark Accelerator at SXSW, where early stage technology companies demo innovative new technology for influential industry judges and a live audience. The contest is sponsored by Microsoft BizSpark, The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, IBM, .CO, and Turner Broadcasting System. TinyVox is one of 40 finalists in five categories out of more than 400 applicants.

The three-day BizSpark Accelerator event will be held Monday, March 14th - Wednesday, March 16th at the Downtown Austin Hilton. The event will feature finalists competing in categories including Innovative Web Technologies, Social Media and Social Networking Technologies, Entertainment Technologies, and News Related Technologies. The award ceremony, where winners will be announced, will be held March 16th at 6 pm.

TinyVox will present alongside seven other companies in the Social Media/Social Networking Category at 12:30PM-1:30PM. Mark Suster, Blair Garrou, and Tara 'Miss Rogue' Hunt will co-emcee the showcase on the 14th and 15th and Brad King and David Hyman will co-emcee the Music-Related technologies showcase on the 16th.
