MINNEAPOLIS, July 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Titan Energy Worldwide, Inc. (OTC: TEWI), a leader in distributed power generation products and intelligent energy management services, today announced that the Company is expanding its service offerings to include sales and servicing of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and batteries. The UPS market, estimated at $7 billion in the U.S. and growing 12% annually (Pike Research), is driven by the growing need to protect computers, communications systems, data servers and other sensitive electronic devices from electrical grid instability and downtime. In addition, more IT infrastructure is moving into data centers which generally augment generator backup power with UPS and battery systems.
On a national scale, Titan will now be able to offer sales and service of more than twenty five makes and models of UPS systems, including all the leading manufacturers. In addition, the Company will offer battery service and replacement.
Gary Wells, Titan Energy's Director of UPS Sales and Service, stated, "I am excited to bring UPS sales and service to Titan's already respected line of backup power offerings. I have been engaged in the UPS market for more than twelve years and feel that I can help Titan build a prominent national program. The need for these services is out there. By being able to service UPS and battery systems, Titan has the opportunity to be a complete onsite power company to hundreds of companies across the nation."
"By bringing this established UPS business into the Titan family, we have now made Titan a complete onsite power sales and service company. UPS and battery systems are integral components to many onsite power programs and now we no longer need to outsource UPS or battery service. With this addition to our staff and capabilities, we believe Titan can now be considered one of the leading UPS service companies in the United States," stated Jeffrey Flannery, Chief Executive Officer of Titan Energy Worldwide, Inc.
