Titan Energy Brings Additional Staff and Technology to New Jersey Office to Support Areas Impacted by Hurricane Sandy
Titan Technicians Arrive with Portable Generators to Donate to Relief Organizations in Need of Standby Power
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Titan Energy Worldwide, Inc. (OTC: TEWI), a leader in distributed power generation products and intelligent energy management services, today announced that the Company has sent in additional technicians and support staff to better serve the many companies and institutions in need of help in the areas impacted by Hurricane Sandy. The Company's 24/7 call center reported that it has been receiving more than 300 calls or web inquiries a day during the week following the storm.
Technicians arrived with state-of-the-art remote monitoring devices in order to better manage back-up generators which have been running continuously to support vital operations. By using these wireless systems, technicians can provide diagnostic and even some corrective measures remotely rather than driving long distance to the physical sites.
The Company also announced that its technicians were arriving to the stork ravaged area with new portable generators on their trucks which would be donated to civic or relief organizations that were in need of emergency power systems.
Stated Jeffrey Flannery, Chief Executive Officer for Titan Energy, "The basic infrastructure in the New Jersey areas impacted by the 'super storm' have improved to the point where we can effectively send in reinforcements to help those at our New Jersey office who have been tirelessly working to repair generators and keep vital operations running. This is clearly an extraordinary situation that requires the support of many more people and greater resources that Titan Energy can provide, but we aim to do all we can. To this end, we are preparing to make donations of portable generators to first responder, civic and relief organizations that are at the front lines of the storms aftermath. We hope to make their jobs a little easier by giving them power for basic services."
"We are also delivering a supply of remote monitoring equipment so that companies which are relying on generators for their electrical power supply can monitor their equipment continuously and thereby improve performance and reliability. With this remote monitoring capability our technicians can effectively manage a far greater number of sites than if they had to drive in already less than ideal conditions to each location. Many of our customers, including some retail big box stores, are staying open 24 hours a day in order to support local residents with necessities such as water and dry goods, and they are using their back-up generators to power these operations. With our remote monitoring capabilities we hope to keep these stores open longer and with fewer interruptions until such time as the utility power returns," added Flannery.
