Toastmasters Honors Women Leaders on March 5th Webinar
ENGLEWOOD, Colo., March 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ --Toastmasters International announces an esteemed lineup for its upcoming webinar honoring International Women's Day. This online event, scheduled for March 5, 2025, will feature four accomplished women leaders from within the organization and offers valuable insights into leadership, public speaking, and the empowering journeys of successful women.
International Women's Day, celebrated annually on March 8, honors the achievements of women across all aspects of life - social, economic, cultural, and political - while also advocating for gender equality. Toastmasters, the nonprofit educational organization that builds confidence and teaches public speaking skills through a worldwide network of clubs, has opened the doors for many women internationally.
"In life, it's easy to doubt yourself – feeling not good enough, fast enough, smart enough, or knowledgeable enough – and let that fear hold you back," says Radhi Spear, reflecting on her personal journey. "But when you look back, you're not likely to regret trying and failing but far more likely to regret never even trying."
With moderator Morag Mathieson, the three panelists, Radhi Spear, Aletta Rochat, and Gauri Seshadri, will discuss how speaking with confidence has enhanced their personal and professional lives. Hear each woman's leadership journey and how Toastmasters intersected with their careers.
- Radhi Spear, Toastmasters International President of Piscataway, New Jersey, is a retired software engineer who worked in the telecommunications industry for over 30 years. Before retiring, she participated in employee resource groups, including Women of AT&T and InspirASIAN.
- Aletta Rochat, Toastmasters International President-Elect of Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa, is a professional speaker, trainer, and author. She owns Voicing Your Potential, a company she founded in 2010. She also serves as a trustee of two nonprofit organizations, the Allegro Trust and The Eden.
- Gauri Seshadri, Toastmasters International Second Vice President of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, is a Director at Gentle Bamboo Solutions. She is also the founder and owner of Sesh Consultants and worked with public health experts in India to conduct the first national conference addressing health inequities across the country.
- Morag Mathieson, Toastmasters Immediate Past International President of Moehrendorf, Germany, is a professional development consultant and chair of Living Water Germany e.V. Previously, she was the general manager and superintendent pharmacist and served on the board of USA Girl Scouts Overseas.
