NASHVILLE, Tenn., May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Summer means two things for singer, songwriter and entertainer Toby Keith – playing packed venues nationwide, and lots of cool beverages featuring his Wild Shot Mezcal being hoisted in the air. But before his tours kick off, Keith is in the habit of raising money for a great cause...and Wild Shot got in on the action, too.

Wild Shot Mezcal helped raise funds at the 11th Annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic in Norman, Oklahoma on May 16 and 17. On the way to making an appearance at the event, the company's logo-wrapped vehicle was pulled over by a patrol officer who recognized the brand. As Toby Keith's signature adult beverage, Wild Shot had a big presence at the Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic this month in Oklahoma, helping to raise money for the Toby Keith Foundation's efforts to help critically ill children and their families. In addition to an autographed bottle being one of the many auction items, Wild Shot brought along its inflatable bar to offer libations to tournament players. The portable watering hole has become a fixture at Toby's standing-room-only shows, and will be again with this year's Shut Up And Hold On Tour Presented by Ford F-Series.

A humorous moment over the event weekend had Wild Shot's Chief Marketing Officer Shawn Harlan being pulled over while driving the company's logo-wrapped vehicle. The patrol officer had no complaints about Harlan's driving, however. He just wanted to let Harlan know that he had recently entered the "Drinks After Work" Sweepstakes for a chance to have a drink after work with Toby, courtesy of Wild Shot.
