WellPoint, Inc. (NYSE:WLP): Earlier this month, WellPoint, Inc. (NYSE:WLP) appointed Mike Kapp as Senior Vice President and President of Federal Government Solutions. On June 20, the company completed the acquisition of 1-800 CONTACTS, Inc., a direct-to-consumer retailer of contact lenses in the U.S. Through the acquisition, 1-800 CONTACTS, Inc. will become a wholly owned operating division of WellPoint.
