Tom Schmitz named National Sales Manager

LODI, Calif., Dec. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Vice President of Sales and Marketing Melissa Phillips Stroud has announced that effective immediately Tom Schmitz has been promoted to National Sales Manager at Michael David Winery. Tom has been with the winery for close to a decade where he previously held the title of Midwest Divisional Manager.

Having been in the wine and spirits industry for over 20 years, Tom began his career in 1995 where he joined Peerless Importers in Brooklyn, NY. It wasn't until an opportunity arose that brought Tom back to his hometown of Chicago where he took a position with Union Beverage Company. After 12 years, Tom looked for a new challenge and it just so happened that Michael David Winery was looking to expand in the Midwest. He took the position of District Manager in 2008 and hasn't looked back. Tom still resides in the Chicagoland area alongside his wife Michelle.
