TOMORROW: Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business Dean to Release White Paper on Skilled Immigration at National Press Club

WASHINGTON, March 29, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Tomorrow morning – two days before the H-1B visa window opens for applications – The American Competitiveness Alliance (ACAlliance) will host a roundtable discussion on the vital role skilled immigration plays in the U.S. economy.

Dartmouth University Tuck School of Business Dean Matthew J. Slaughter will share the findings of his new white paper, which includes an analysis of our antiquated immigration system's growing cost and impact on American businesses. The paper is based on new survey data gathered by the Benenson Strategy Group, which aggregated the responses of 400 hiring managers around the country — data that definitively illustrates how American businesses, both large and small, are struggling to find and hire qualified STEM workers.

A panel of experts will then be led by ACAlliance co-chair Rosario Marin in a discussion of the facts behind the role that highly skilled immigrants play in growing the U.S. economy within the context of a U.S. presidential election that has endured months of aggressive anti-immigrant rhetoric.
