Toon Boom Signs Exclusive Distribution Deal with Chinese Distributor Cogito
MONTREAL, Nov. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - Toon Boom Animation Inc. announced today that they have signed an exclusive distribution deal with Beijing-based Cogito Software Co. Ltd. The partnership enables Cogito to market and sell Toon Boom software products in China, extending Toon Boom's reach into this growing market.

Already leaders in their country's animation community, Cogito partnered with the China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) to build China's first animation lab, bringing renewed vitality to China's 2D animation industry. CAFA students have already begun receiving instruction on the finer details of Toon Boom's Harmony 11, released earlier this year.
CAFA is a model for education in the field of art studies in China. Playing an important role in equipping students for a successful career in Animation, CAFA has integrated Toon Boom into their curriculum, using Toon Boom Harmony for all aspects of cut-out animation. "Introducing Toon Boom Harmony to the CAFA curriculum is breathing new life into China's 2D animation industry," said Yu.
