Top Students From 36 Countries Take on Global Goals at the 2017 Enactus World Cup
LONDON, Sept. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - This year, the Enactus World Cup project presentations by top college teams include an initiative that empowers refugees to earn an income by recounting cultural narratives in cooking classes within local communities, schools and businesses, a social enterprise driven by women who repurpose industrial waste into recycled paper, and a water purification project paired with a health and hygiene education program.
Enactus, an international non-profit dedicated to inspiring students to take entrepreneurial action to improve the lives of others, will host its 2017 World Cup September 26, 27 and 28 in London. This annual event features the best social innovation projects created by the top teams from 36 countries. Participating students compete for the Enactus World Cup, in the Enactus 1 Race 2 End Waste and the Enactus World Water Race, by presenting their projects before a select executive panel of judges and an audience of 3,500 student, academic and business leaders.

Student teams presenting at Enactus World Cup are chosen from more than 70,000 students on 1,700 college campuses worldwide in 36 countries. Each team presents their projects, demonstrating business innovation and deliver positive social impact while sparking their careers.
This year, Enactus World Cup will feature a Global Goals Forum hosted by Lord Dr. Michael Hastings, KPMG International's Global Head of Corporate Citizenship. The Global Goals forum addresses the 17 Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 and the work Enactus students are undertaking to accomplish these goals.
