Torneos y Competencias S.A. Announces Management Changes and Investigation
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, June 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Members of the Board of Directors of Torneos met today and, in light of events that are of public knowledge, decided to take all legal steps required to remove Mr. Alejandro Burzaco from his position as General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Torneos. Mr. Juan Ripoll, who has to date been Chief Operating Officer of Torneos, will assume the role of interim General Manager until the company has selected a replacement for Mr. Burzaco in that capacity. In addition, Torneos is coordinating with its shareholders an internal investigation with support of external US and Argentine counsel, and authorized such steps as may be required to preserve all of Torneos' records and assist the authorities with the on-going investigation surrounding Mr. Burzaco. Torneos is committed to the continuation of its operations complying fully with applicable laws.
